I’m an investment advisor and accountant and I love my jobs, but I also own a surf shop. It’s not really a retail store – but more of a surf out-fitting service. I rent surfboards all over Oahu and I also am a North Shore Surf Tour Guide. There’s nothing like getting out of the office, getting surfers on surfboards that work best for them, and taking them out surfing here in Hawaii.

Surfboard Rental

First of all, my surfboard rentals are of top quality. I only rent boards out of my personal collection. I have a few beginner boards, but most of them are geared toward performance. As of the time of this writing, I only charge $125 per week to rent a surfboard. This includes long and short boards. I also have surf racks for rent and snorkel/dive equipment as well. I have a couple of boogie boards in the shop as well. Call me up to reserve a board ahead of time and I will be at your hotel to drop it off to you soon after you get in. Leash and wax are always included. I take cash or credit card. 4.5% Oahu GE tax applies to each rental.

North Shore Surf Tour Guide

I have lots of surfing experience here on Oahu and I really enjoy sharing it with others. Traveling surfers no longer have to worry about the logistics and expenses of renting a car. I pick my surfing clients up wherever they are staying and I take them to wherever the best waves are – that is the surf spots that match their experience and crowd tolerance levels. My favorite thing to do as a surf guide is to get up really early and get my customers a few waves at a famous North Shore surf spot before they get too crowded. From there I usually go to a lesser-known reef that is more away from the crowds.
